About Me

I am a senior at Middle Tennessee State University graduating May 2024. My major is journalism with a minor in communication. Since August 2022, I have been a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. Spring semester 2022, I was a recipeint of the Douglas E. Stults scholarship from MTSU's School of Journalism and Strategic Media. The next spring semester, 2023, I recieved the Jim Ridley Memorial Scholarship.

I have been involved with student media since I was a freshman at Mount Juliet High School. There, I gained a strong love and drive for journalism. Now, I am the Lifestyles Editor with MTSU Sidelines. I also am a freelance reporter and photographer for the Lebanon Democrat and the Murfreesboro Pulse.

I enjoy hard and soft news writing. I love telling stories through a community based lense, though I also have interest in pop culture and music reporting.
